Why

Coder template version 26.24.1 (2026-06-04, "revert request to minimal
default of the template") made this change directly in Coder. It never reached
git, where a916f94 still set request = limit. The first version pushed from
git afterwards (cautious_haley02, 2026-09-29, the chown fix) reinstated the
full reservation, and every version since has carried it.

On 2026-10-12 the beewise workspace (6 cores / 16 GB) sat Pending with
0/7 nodes are available: 2 Insufficient cpu, 2 Insufficient memory until the
ghe-perso workspace, also 6 / 16, was stopped.

The diff between the last Coder version holding the revert
(obedient_daugherty93) and git at a916f94 is exactly these two lines, so
nothing else was lost.

Validation

terraform validate with hashicorp/terraform:1.14.5, the provisioner's
version, on a copy outside the repo: Success! The configuration is valid.

After merge

Push the template to Coder, then update both workspaces to the new version.
Running workspaces keep their current reservation until they are rebuilt.

Coder version 26.24.1 (2026-06-04, "revert request to minimal default of
the template") set the workspace requests back to 250m CPU and 512Mi
memory, but only in Coder; git kept request = limit. Every version pushed
from git since 2026-09-29 reinstated the full reservation, so two 6-core /
16 GB workspaces could no longer schedule side by side.
